Wix.com announced the launch of the Wix Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server.
O’Reilly announced AI Codecon—a groundbreaking virtual conference series dedicated to exploring the rapidly evolving world of AI-assisted software development.
The inaugural event, Coding with AI: The End of Software Development as We Know It, will take place on Thursday, May 8, 2025, from 11:00am to 3:00pm ET, and is free for all attendees.
Cohosted by O’Reilly Media founder Tim O’Reilly and Google’s head of Chrome developer experience, Addy Osmani, the virtual conference brings together experts for fireside chats, technical deep dives, and live demos from leading developers, innovators, and technical executives shaping the future of AI-enabled development.
AI Codecon represents a new chapter in O’Reilly’s event offerings: high-impact, expert-led virtual conferences inspired by the practitioner community. Unlike O’Reilly’s Superstreams, which are exclusive to O’Reilly subscribers, each event in the AI Codecon series will be available for purchase by nonsubscribers—and this first edition is free to maximize global tech community participation.
“This isn’t just another conference about AI,” said Tim O’Reilly. “It’s about exploring the seismic shift taking place in how software is developed. It’s not the end of programming. It’s the end of programming as we know it today. Through community-driven conversations, we’re bringing together the people rewriting the rules of development in real time.”
AI Codecon is the first in a new series of O’Reilly virtual conferences that combine the immersive experience of in-person events with the accessibility of modern online platforms. Following the inaugural free event on May 8, future AI Codecon experiences will be available for purchase by nonsubscribers. Registration will be open at no additional cost for O’Reilly members.
Anyone eager to explore the future of AI-enabled software development is encouraged to attend.
