Perforce Intelligence Introduced
May 20, 2025

Perforce Software announced Perforce Intelligence, a blueprint to embed AI across its product lines and connect its AI with platforms and tools across the DevOps lifecycle.

Perforce Intelligence is delivering results to customers within the company’s continuous testing, infrastructure automation, and diagramming solutions through time and cost savings, expanded testing coverage, and eliminating data silos between security, development and operation teams.

“At Perforce, we understand that every organization, regardless of size, has AI ambitions,” said Jake Hookom, Executive Vice President of Products, Perforce. “Our approach to AI is to act as a strategic multiplier, helping businesses adopt AI in a way that delivers value and produces measurable outcomes from our products and within their larger DevOps ecosystem. With security and compliance top of mind for enterprises, those customers are affirming our approach to AI every week with stories on the positive impact we’re having on their DevOps teams.”

Perforce is using AI to eliminate scripts and frameworks making it easier for teams to deliver high-performing, secure applications that meet customer expectations across any platform or mobile device. Perforce Intelligence validates applications visually and contextually to dynamically adapt and change applications appropriately across platforms without human intervention. Customers have experienced 50% efficiency gains and increased their coverage of tests by 20%, where traditional, script-based approaches were impossible.

In June 2025, Puppet Enterprise Advanced* will include Puppet Infra Assistant, a chat interface that allows any team to use natural language to quickly understand what is happening across their entire Puppet infrastructure estate – no Puppet language skills required.

The chat interface will give security and development teams key information on how something is working, what versions of modules or server OSes are being used, and whether something is in or out of compliance.

“Puppet has a trove of data to help customers make smarter decisions, but we haven’t previously had the means to make it readily accessible for Puppet stakeholders or adjacent teams – like security and development teams - who would really benefit from it,” said Margaret Lee, Manager of Product Management, Perforce Puppet. “Natural language AI unlocked this potential. Teams can quickly and easily understand what’s happening, make meaningful decisions, and take action to align with their desired business outcomes. Early customers have responded very positively, with one noting that a task that used to take three hours now takes seconds with Puppet Infra Assistant.”

Perforce Puppet provides infrastructure automation to help streamline operations, strengthen security and compliance, and provide visibility across any type of infrastructure.

Perforce’s intuitive diagramming platform for Confluence, Gliffy, embeds AI into its product to build sequence diagrams and class diagrams 3X faster, enabling teams to quickly show and simplify complex concepts.

Perforce is planning several more announcements around Perforce Intelligence in the coming calendar year, including:

- Acceleration of creative workflows to supercharge productivity and creativity among developers and creatives.

- Compliant, masked data to fuel AI Agent and Machine Learning projects to ensure projects provide ROI and don't add risk.

- New approaches to functional testing that remove scripting, frameworks, or legacy approaches to create maintenance-free testing automation that can run across any device or experience.

- Infrastructure agent-to-agent orchestration that creates better infrastructure change management for compliance on day two and beyond for all infrastructure.
