Idera Acquires WhereScape
September 19, 2019

Idera announced an agreement to acquire the software assets and related entities of WhereScape Software LTD., a provider of data infrastructure automation software.

WhereScape will join Idera’s database tools business unit that includes IDERA, AquaFold, and Webyog, significantly expanding the breadth and depth of the company’s cross-platform database solutions.

“WhereScape solves a significant challenge for data infrastructure projects by automating tasks like building data pipelines while consolidating multiple tools and disparate skills into a cohesive solution. WhereScape’s tools reduce timelines, generate significant ROI, and deliver immediate business value,” said Matt O’Connell, Idera’s GM for WhereScape.

WhereScape’s end-to-end tooling offers the speed, quality, and consistency needed for business users to pivot from outdated manual methods to modern automated processes. More than 700 customers, and a worldwide partner ecosystem, rely on the company’s award-winning products — WhereScape 3D, WhereScape RED, and WhereScape Data Vault Express — to design, develop, deploy, and operate data infrastructure projects, both on-premises and in the cloud.

“WhereScape is a strategic addition to our growing portfolio of cross-platform database solutions for big data automation and cloud migration. As the market shifts to support DevOps use cases for data professionals, WhereScape will be even more important to companies managing complex data environments across platforms and channels. By focusing our product investment on ease of use, scalability, and quality, we expect WhereScape to remain the leading data migration solution and drive more value for our 10,000+ customers,” said Randy Jacops, CEO of Idera, Inc.
