Atomist announced that the latest version of its open source Software Delivery Machine (SDM) project, version 1.0.0-M.1, now provides a fully local mode.
With this release, the API for software is available to every developer everywhere, enabling them to use their coding skills to achieve unprecedented control over their code and how it's delivered.

With its new local mode, the Atomist SDM means all developers, everywhere can use a software delivery machine to develop their development experience on their own laptop. Projects are kept consistent and up-to-date automatically with "autofixes". Project changes can be automatically deployed locally for individual developer testing.
Modern software development is complex, and the tools that worked well in the previous era aren't keeping up with the demands of cloud native applications and their myriad pipelines and static configuration files.
