Gary Ogasawara, CTO at Cloudian, has joined the DEVOPSdigest Vendor Forum.

Ogasawara is responsible for setting the company’s long-term technology vision and direction. Before assuming the CTO role, Ogasawara was Cloudian’s founding engineering leader. Prior to Cloudian, he led the Engineering team at eCentives, a search engine company. He also led the development of real-time commerce and advertising systems at Inktomi, an Internet infrastructure company. Ogasawara holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley, specializing in uncertainty reasoning and machine learning.

Cloudian is an independent provider of object storage. With a native S3 API, it brings the scalability and flexibility of public cloud storage into the data center while providing ransomware protection and reducing TCO by up to 70% compared to traditional SAN/NAS and public cloud. The geo-distributed architecture enables users to manage and protect object and file data across sites—on-premises and in the cloud—from a single platform.
