Parasoft is showcasing its latest innovations in software quality assurance for safety- and security-critical embedded systems at embedded world North America, booth 8031.
Xray announced the launch of AI-powered testing capabilities, a new suite of human-in-the-loop intelligence features powered by the Sembi IQ platform.
Built on Sembi IQ's centralized AI architecture, Xray’s AI capabilities enable smarter, safer, and more efficient testing by embedding intelligence directly into trusted workflows. Unlike “one-shot” generators, Xray allows testers to review, edit, and select AI suggestions before complete test creation, reducing noise while preserving expert judgment.
“With Xray’s AI-powered testing features, teams design better tests faster and make release decisions sooner—without changing tools or sacrificing control,” said João Valença, General Manager at Xray. “We built Xray’s AI features to accelerate software quality in Jira while keeping human expertise at the center of every decision.”
With AI Test Case Generation, Xray Cloud users can convert written requirements, preconditions, and coverable issues into structured test cases in seconds. Key benefits include:
- Faster, smarter test design: Generate Manual and Cucumber-style tests quickly from requirements.
- Human-in-the-loop control: Review and refine AI-suggested test titles and descriptions before full tests are created.
- Granular access control: Manage AI availability with Jira’s permission schemes.
- Data privacy and security: All required data is encrypted in transit and never stored or used to train the model.
Core capabilities also include bulk and partial generation, enabling testers to create multiple test cases at once while maintaining precise control over selection and approval.
Available in Xray Enterprise, AI Test Model Generation automatically creates visual models of your system directly from requirement content. Key benefits include:
- Rapid model drafting: Create initial parameters/values directly from objectives and documentation.
- Flexible input: Works with a wide range of text-based docs without heavy reformatting.
- Iterative refinement: Regenerate parts or the whole model for fast improvement.
- Granular control: Accept or reject AI-suggested elements individually or in bulk.
Joana Fonseca, Lead Product Manager for Xray, says, “This approach allows teams to move quickly from high-level objectives to ready-to-run models with fewer handoffs and less manual overhead.”
By embedding Sembi IQ-powered intelligence inside Jira, Xray's AI capabilities allow DevOps teams to move from requirement to release with fewer delays, less rework, and full transparency. For existing customers, Xray’s AI features deliver immediate productivity gains with zero process overhaul while ensuring enterprise-grade governance and data protection.
