Mirantis and Gcore announced an agreement to facilitate the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) workloads.
Parasoft is showcasing its latest product innovations at embedded world Exhibition, booth 4-318, including new GenAI integration with Microsoft Visual Studio Code (VS Code) to optimize test automation of safety-critical applications while reducing development time, cost, and risk.
Additionally, growing customer adoption of Parasoft C/C++test CT for continuous testing and compliance underscores the company’s ability to take software testing to the next level, empowering customers to meet rigorous industry, regulatory, and quality standards.
“As embedded systems face ever-increasing demands for heightened safety, security, and efficiency, Parasoft continues to build on our legacy of AI-driven automation to ease development while elevating compliance,” said Igor Kirilenko, chief product officer, Parasoft. “Our integration through the GenAI agent inside VS Code, for example, offers developers assistance with fixing static analysis violations to produce better quality code.”
Smarter, Faster Resolution of VS Code Violations
The GenAI agent for VS Code gives C/C++ developers another layer of intelligence to expedite resolutions of code violations in VS Code, one of the world’s most popular integrated development environments (IDEs). Residing within Microsoft Copilot, the agent works with Parasoft’s static analysis tool to analyze software code for violations and then delivers in-depth problem explanations based on specific business requirements, industry best practices, and compliance standards, such as MISRA and CWE Top 25.
In addition to pinpointing the violation and recommending rules-based resolutions, this latest Parasoft extension proposes automatic code corrections. All actions associated with this closed-loop workflow take place within the IDE, eliminating tedious and time-consuming intermediate steps and context switching. The results empower developers to build high-quality code at the source, while reducing development time by up to 30%. Available now, Parasoft’s new GenAI agent is being piloted by top customers, including a major automotive manufacturer and multinational semiconductor and telecommunications equipment company.
Growing Traction for Parasoft C/C++test CT
Since its introduction last year, C/C++test CT has been deployed by Parasoft customers to ensure continuous compliance with safety standards, such as ISO 26262 for automotive, DO-178C for aerospace, IEC 62304 for medical devices, EN 50128/EN 50716 for rail systems, and IEC 61508 for industrial automation and manufacturing applications. Designed for automation at scale, the platform helps safeguard critical applications, spanning autonomous driving, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), aerospace flight controls, military weapon systems, industrial robotics, rail systems, smart home devices, and telecommunications networks.
As an international Tier 1 supplier to the automotive industry, JOYNEXT relies on Parasoft’s C/C++test CT to ensure continuous compliance for critical applications, including ADAS, intelligent cockpit, and smart connectivity. “Parasoft C/C++test CT outperformed the competition in a large code base encompassing both build and runtime processes,” said Jens Wagner, director, R&D, JOYNEXT. “The tool gives us the highest confidence in analyzing code coverage of our entire code base while the software licensing model offers the most flexibility.”
According to Kenny Austin, chief customer officer at Parasoft, increased adoption of C/C++test CT reduces barriers for customers through seamless integration into diverse CI-based workflows. “Parasoft’s C/C++test CT is a real game-changer for customers in safety- and security-regulated industries as it empowers them to meet stringent industry standards, accelerate CI pipelines and optimize testing solutions,” he said.
Overcoming Obstacles With Open-Source Framework Certification
Parasoft also is lowering major barriers for developers of safety-critical applications by closing a crucial gap between open-source testing frameworks and certification requirements. In the coming months, Parasoft will share more insights on how to accelerate safety-critical software development through streamlined validation and qualification of the GoogleTest framework for seamless compliance with stringent industry standards.
As part of Parasoft’s customer-focused commitment, company experts will share pragmatic advice during informative sessions at embedded world Conference 2025, including a timely talk on lowering GoogleTest barriers for compliance with industry standards. Sessions include:
