Google announced an upgraded preview of Gemini 2.5 Pro, its most intelligent model yet.
Less than a month after the release of an updated 2.5 Pro version on May 6, the newest model demonstrates even more improvements, including gaining even more on its lead on LMArena and jumping to the top of the WebDev Arena.
The updated model scores high across a number of key benchmarks
- Coding: It continues to excel at coding, leading on difficult benchmarks like AIDER Polyglot. This means even more powerful and accurate code generation and assistance for developers.
- Science & reasoning: The model showcases top-tier performance on GPQA and Humanity's Last Exam (HLE), highly challenging benchmarks evaluating advanced science and reasoning capabilities.
- Creative writing: The updated 2.5 Pro now features a more engaging, witty and creative writing style, making interactions more enjoyable and helpful.
This upgraded 2.5 Pro Preview demonstrates that Google is rapidly iterating on its most advanced model and getting it into the hands of developers quickly.
The newest enhanced 2.5 Pro is now available alongside the May 6 version in Google AI Studio, Vertex AI and the Gemini app, with General Availability for production-ready applications slated for the next couple of weeks.
