GitHub Releases Security Campaigns with Copilot Autofix
April 08, 2025

GitHub announced the general availability of security campaigns with Copilot Autofix to help security and developer teams rapidly reduce security debt across their entire codebase.

Available for all GitHub Advanced Security and GitHub Code Security customers, security campaigns automate vulnerability remediation at scale, helping developer teams increase remediation rates from 10% to 55%.

With this GA, GitHub is rolling out several new capabilities:

- Draft security campaigns: Security managers can now iterate on the scope of campaigns before making them available to developers, ensuring that the highest priority vulnerabilities are included before the work goes live.

- Automated GitHub issues: Security managers can create GitHub issues, which are updated automatically as the campaign progresses and can be used to track and manage remediation efforts.

- Org-level reporting: Security managers can now view aggregated statistics showing the progress across all currently-active and past campaigns.
