Datadog Acquires Automated Application Testing Company Madumbo
February 14, 2019

Datadog announced the acquisition of Madumbo, an AI-based automated application testing platform.

Olivier Pomel, CEO of Datadog, said: “They’ve built a sophisticated AI platform that can quickly determine if a web application is behaving correctly. We see their core technology strengthening our platform and extending into many new digital experience monitoring capabilities for our customers.”

“Joining Datadog and bringing Madumbo’s AI-powered testing technology to its platform is an amazing opportunity,” said Gabriel-James Safar, CEO of Madumbo. “We’ve long admired Datadog and its leadership, and are excited to expand the scope of our existing technology by integrating tightly with Datadog’s other offerings.”

The Madumbo team has joined the Datadog Paris R&D office and are currently working on new products which will be announced later this year.

Madumbo’s solution provides completely automated website-testing that is fast and code-free. Madumbo’s AI-powered bot checks for errors using code run on a real browser, capturing the same defects seen by actual customers while surfacing the details required to fix those errors in an intuitive, private dashboard.
